Download and set up speech recognition

There's an exciting feature built in to X10controller which allows you to control your X10 appliances
using your voice! The best thing about it all is that the speech recognition technology is all free, direct from Microsoft

Follow the following steps exactly and you'll be voice controlling in no time. It's very important that you
follow the training instructions and spend as much time doing it as you can. This will ensure that your
voice will control the software accurately and without error. It's also essential that you use a good quality
computer microphone and try to do it all in a calm noise free environment (send the kids out to play for
a while).

Step 1:

You now need to download the speech control panel, which will let you alter speech settings later
Click here to do this now (927K .exe file)
When the file has finished downloading, double click the file to install it. Follow the on screen instructions

Step 2:

This is the biggest and most important download, the voice recognition engine.
Click here to download the U.S. English speech recognition engine (6M .exe file)
When the file has finished downloading, double click the file to install it. Follow the on screen instructions

By now you should have downloaded and installed 2 files, now its time to train the recognition engine. After installing the Voice recognition engine (step 2) you should see this window.

Click on Next and follow the on screen instructions, make sure you speak clearly and accurately when you train the engine.

At the end of this procedure you can start X10controller and you will be able to control it with your voice.
